Beginning with the soundscape of bowed percussion and strings speak, the program commences wit the World Premiere of ‘A Room of One’s Own’ by Australian composer, Anne Cawrse. The spirit of breaking ground continues with the fourth string quartet by master composer, Béla Bartók which is both visceral and haunting.

The program concludes with the spring-like optimism of Antonin Dvořák’s Piano Quintet, performed award-winning concert pianist, Konstantin Shamray. Described as an exhilarating performer with faultless technique and fearless command of the piano, don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear concert pianist, Konstantin Shamray perform with the Australian String Quartet as they kick-off their national tour across Australia.
