That’s why the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is touring the world premiere of Joe Chindamo’s Flute Concerto, performed by Australia’s charismatic flutist Eliza Shephard. With theatrical flair and dazzling technique, Shephard brings brilliance to the stage.

Chindamo, our 2026 Composer in Residence, is also represented by Fantasie auf Nachtmusik, reimagining Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Paired with Mozart’s vibrant “Linz” Symphony, this program celebrates fresh new works and rediscovered gems.
