An evening of jazz and contemporary original music.

Multi award winning composer, singer, producer and performer Phil Tweed gathers a class line up of musicians and singers from Sydney, Melbourne and Gippsland, presenting a wide ranging repertoire of original material interspersed with well known tunes from many different sources. Phil’s band and guest vocalists offer a fresh and sometimes surprising approach to music both familiar and new. While serving for the last three years in the RAAF at East Sale, Phil has been highly active in the local music scene, including musical director for Sale Theatre Company’s hugely successful Jesus Christ Superstar and the upcoming Strictly Ballroom. With this concert Phil says thanks and farewell to the region with his upcoming posting to Canberra. One show only – don’t miss it!

Changes to Council services post Covid-19 vaccination target

How people interact with Wellington Shire Council services, including The Wedge will change in coming days when Victoria meets its 80% Covid-19 vaccination target. The direction of the state government is that once the 80% target is reached, Council will only be permitted to allow fully vaccinated people into its buildings. This means all patrons aged 16 and over, and all workers, volunteers and performers aged 12 and over will need to have received two Covid-19 vaccinations. The current prediction for this 80% target is 29 October.

All people entering The Wedge will be required to show one of the following upon request:

– Their vaccination status through the Victorian Government Service Victoria app on their smartphone (available through the Apple App Store or Google Play)
– A printout of their vaccination certificate
– An official letter from their doctor show evidence of a medical exemption

Once the 80% state-wide target is reached, people who cannot produce one of the above will not be able to access Council facilities including The Wedge.
