Gippsland Symphony Orchestra at The Movies

13 Jul 2:00pm

Have you ever wondered what a movie would be like without music? Music makes a scene, it adds tension, pathos, joy and celebration and throughout the history of cinema there has been many outstanding composers writing for the screen.

From Sci-fi to Romantic comedies, action to animation music has played a significant role in our appreciation of the movie. Who could forget the immediate and profound impact of John Williams’ score for Jaws, Star Wars, or his extraordinarily moving scoring of Schindler’s List.

The GSO will play a selection of well-known Classical and Romantic works related to the silver screen alongside some of the recent master works of composer such as John Willliams. Come and join the GSO and relive movies you love and the sounds that make them great.
