Midnight Pilots are a group of friends who collaborate to enjoy jazz with some fresh takes on standards as well as some surprising twists on recent well-known tunes. Comprising Phil Tweed on piano and vocals (Phil was the Musical Director for the hit musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, performed by Sale Theatre Company, and is also the MD for the upcoming Strictly Ballroom and has a long history of professional music, studio production, and international and national awards), his daughter Abbey (also starring in JC Superstar and many other musical theatre productions), and Kirralee Richardson, a regular singer and worship leader at Sale Baptist Church. The trio wowed the crowd with their rendition of O Holy Night at the Carols in the Botanic Gardens last December.

Formed especially to celebrate the lifting of social distancing restrictions and also just to have a bit of fun comprising strong vocals and harmonies with a jazz twist, the trio looks forward to welcoming guests back to the Wedge.

Please note: Due to current restrictions there are LIMITED TICKETS available for these performances.

The Wedge is open, the box office is operating from 10.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday you can either visit in person or call us directly on 03 5143 3200

All precautions are in place to ensure a safe environment, with strict and thorough cleaning and distancing measures in place from the foyer through to the theatre.

If you have purchased a ticket but are unwell, notify us 24 hours prior to the performance and we will be happy to issue either an exchange, credit or refund, post-performance we will still offer either a credit to your account or ticket exchange to another show if you were unable to attend due to health.

In line with new restrictions set by the Victorian State Government please note that patrons whose primary residence is within Melbourne or the Mitchell Shire will not be permitted to physically attend any performance at The Wedge until restrictions have lifted and further advice has been received.
